If you are asked for dates give them as accurately as possible - that is give the month as well as the year when you started or left a job. Double check dates. Section 4: References

Most employers will expect you to give the names of some one who will give you a reference. You should include two if possible. Make sure that they are willing to give you a reference before sending their name to anyone. It is usually helpful to tell them about the job you are applying for too.

School leavers may wish to use their tutor or a teacher as a referee. The second person could be an older friend of the family or an employer from a part time job or work placement. If you have employment experience you should name at least one person you have worked for or with.

If you do not wish to send any references with your CV leave these fields blank and a message saying “Can be supplied as requested” will be displayed on the CV.
